(Pooler, GA)  One of the most popular International Musical acts in the late 70, 80, 90s and currently is Meat Loaf. The internationally acclaimed multi-million record seller was scheduled for a concert in Biloxi, Mississippi, later this month (Friday Sept.16) Obviously, this dates will not be able to take place in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Meat Loaf has decided to alter his tour plans to do a "Hurricane Relief" Benefit Concert in Savannah, Georgia, on Saturday, September 17 at the Oglethorpe Speedway Park.  All proceeds will go to the Red Cross "Hurricane Relief" Fund benefiting those hit the hardest from Hurricane Katrina.  It will be a single night show with tickets priced at only $25.
Many other Savannah area businesses have already jumped on board for the effort.  Yellow Freight Lines will have a truck and trailer ready for concert goers to bring items requested by the Red Cross for the hurricane relief efforts.  The truck will go from the speedway concert area directly to the Red Cross effort in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Tickets for the benefit concert will go on sale at Oglethorpe Speedway Park next Thursday, September 8 at 9:00am.  Tickets may also be purchased by telephone using Visa or MasterCard at 912-964-8200.  Other ticket outlets may be named early next week.
