(Savannah, GA) World
champion monster truck Grave Digger clean swept the three
night stint this weekend at Oglethorpe Speedway Park and his
“No Rules” style of crushing cars did not disappoint the
crowd of enthusiastic fans. Randy Brown piloted Grave
Digger to monster truck freestyle titles all three nights of
the USHRA Monster Jam Summer Heat. The Kill Devil Hills,
North Carolina driver also picked up a victory in Friday
night’s monster truck drag races. He fell short in drag
racing to Milton, Florida’s Jim Jack and his Reptoid monster
truck on Thursday and Saturday night.
“The fans were
loud and proud this weekend,” said Brown after completing
his sweep on Saturday evening. “The fans in Savannah are
very vocal for their monster truck.”
Grave Digger,
Reptoid, Sudden Impact, Bad News and Destroyer delighted
fans of all ages with a wide open, ear popping show of
monster truck racing and car crushing. Fans were on their
feet for the majority of the three night stop cheering for
the monster behemoths standing sixteen feet tall and
creating over 1,200 horsepower.
“You get one
of these trucks up in the air with all four wheels off the
ground and you don’t know where you may end up,” added
Brown. “The second jump I did over the mini-bus last night
sent me forty feet up in the air. It jolted me around when
I landed. But, the fans loved it and I can’t wait for
tomorrow and Saturday’s shows.”
