A Little History… Oglethorpe Speedway Park celebrates it's 59th Anniversary in 2010. The half
mile speedway has entertained
race fans since March of 1951 when
championship motorcycle racing debuted in Savannah. The first
stock car race took place at the historic half mile in May of 1951.
Johnnie Parsons was the first winner. Parsons was the defending
Indy 500 winner that year. The tradition of championship racing in a
family oriented facility lives
on as Oglethorpe Speedway Park runs weekly racing events on Friday nights
at 8:00pm. Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks and
440s make up the weekly schedule. Family Section: OSP has a family friendly section located just
before turn one. In this section
alcohol and smoking are not allowed. Concessions & Beverage: OSP offers lots of great concession items
and cold Coca-Cola beverages, we also have an outside grill with rib, pork
steak and chicken plates. For our
adult fans the Finish Line Pub has ice-cold beer and Bacardi Breezers. |

gates open at 6 pm ~ Hot Laps at 6:45 pm ~ Racing at 8 pm. Grandstand
Tickets just $15 for Adults, $13 for Military & Seniors (55 & older),
